ANDREW MONROE RICE

Andrew Monroe Rice is a writer, podcaster, a teacher and a ‘recovering politician’. 


 A former State Senator,  Andrew also ran against the infamous Oklahoma senator, James Inhofe, in 2008.  Andrew was honored by the ACLU of Oklahoma for his service to the residents of the state.

Andrew co-founded a news site called NonDoc. He holds degrees from Colby College, and Harvard Divinity School, and serves on the board of directors for the Institute for the Healing of Memories- North America.  Andrew is also the board president of the OKC-based non-profit 1024 Cake, Inc.


Andrew is the host of the conversation series podcast, Stories From Nowhere and  leads centering prayer and addiction recovery retreats.  He has developed a program that supports the emotional recovery of men incarcerated in Oklahoma. He visits prisoners regularly.
